Mobolaji Olambiwonnu is a cum laude graduate of UCLA’s elite Communications Studies department and holds an MFA in directing from the American Film Institute (AFI). Besides being an award winning filmmaker, he loves America, Africa, African textiles and cowboy shirts, hence the creation of African Cowboy.

African Cowboy Clothing is his expression of that cowboy alter ego and a way of giving back while making things he enjoys wearing. African Cowboy represents a new hopeful conversation about Africa inspired by clothing. He believes African Cowboy’s unique style of social entrepreneurship is a long-term solution to providing for the world’s most disadvantaged people and has seen it work first hand to instill pride in those who had forgotten their value and given up on their dreams.
